A research into the effect of motivation on experience of theatre performances
The main objective of this paper is to analyse empirically how the motivations of a theatre audience affects their experience of the performance. Drawing on the results from a quantitative research, I ask how social background impact the motivation for an experience and how the two in turn each add to the experience of a theatre performance. The research is conducted as a survey distributed among the audience of Det Norske Teatret in Oslo, Norway.
