What makes one region economically more powerful than another one? The aim of this paper is to unravel whether it is entrepreneurship that drives regional growth. The case is located in the Netherlands and compares the Randstad with its neighboring COROP's from 1990-2000. The analysis makes us of log-log regression models and concludes that entrepreneurship is not a driver of growth.
