The aim of this research was to analyze the transboundary water issues in South Asia, using Ostroms theory on governing the commons, and to identify opportunities for support by the Dutch Government. This by studying India’s water policy and existing bilateral water treaties signed with neighbouring countries Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
