In this bachelor thesis, the effect of a system of congestion charging in the Netherlands is examined. First, other similar systems in the world are discussed. Next, the effect on consumers based on elasticity estimates are estimated. Then, based on a self-conducted survey, regression analysis is done to estimate the effects on public support for a system. There is indications that people that drive more might favor congestion charging, while opposing road pricing as a whole.
