Entrepreneurship is an important engine in a country’s growth model. Given the high youth unemployment rate in Vietnam, entrepreneurship with the ability to generate more job opportunities and induce innovation and growth can act as a solution for this issue. This paper aims to determine factors influencing entrepreneurial engagement of graduate students from various universities in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. The findings indicate sig-nificant relationship between preference for entrepreneurship, perceived opportunity, lack of financial support and the odds of being an entrepreneur. Some variables are found not significantly influence the likelihood of entrepreneurial involvement such as gender, risk-taking level, subjective norm, university facilitation and hence, need further examination in the future.
