This exploratory RP is an account of our investigations into and documenting experiences of fellow co-investigators-most of them, from the Global South, and like us, removed from ‘home’-studying in an institution in the Global North, under a still evolving global pandemic. It is also an account of our taking the current “shock” as an opportunity to critique and transform our-self and our institution for the better and also attempt to imagine, articulate, and implement non-violent and compassionate alternatives to knowing, learning, healing, and doing; suggestions/ideas for which we gathered from our MA 2019-20 co-investigator community. We also investigate the possibility and the challenges of thinking about and implementing ‘bottom-up’ collaborative learning environments.
