This research explores the harmful practices that different institutions inflict on sex work-ers in Uganda and what sex workers do to resist and overcome such practices. The sex workers involved in this study were the Female sex workers, Trans women and cis-man The study employs qualitative interviewing methods in data collection. In addition, the re-search uses two analytical frame works; Intersectionality and governmentality to analyse the role played by the different intersecting identities of the sex workers and the way the cur-rent government policies and laws influence the lives of sex workers respectively.
