Europeanization of a National Policy Process
Compiling a budget is a crucial part of governing: after all, politics is about 'who gets what, when, how'. In recent years, European governments have seen the way they budget influenced by the European Union, and specifically by the EMU and its Convergence Criteria and Stability and Growth Pact. This thesis explores how Dutch budgeting has been changed due to these European influences.
