The results of a Master’s thesis project, program “Economics & ICT”, are presented in this paper. The thesis project is part of the study program “Informatics & Economics” of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The research was carried out in cooperation with Steltix, an Oracle JD Edwards implementer with headquarters in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The assumption at the start of the research was that many organizations have implemented some kind of an Enterprise Resource Planning system, but are not fully using all the benefits such systems can provide. This research focuses primarily on the benefits ERPs could have for better Performance Measurement.
