This paper aims to critically explore the role of Judeo-Christian norms in the ideas, notions and experiences that women from Lima have regarding their sexuality, sexual agency and sexual pleasure. To do so, I will navigate the religious narratives we grow up with and which are reinforced in Lima's patriarchal gendered society. The analysis in this paper is centered on decolonial feminist theories to challenge western epistemologies focused on scientific method, which devalue other types of epistemological creation, such as many of those originating in the Global South. Furthermore, this paper makes use of a theoretical framework centered on the enfleshment of our lived experiences as racialised mixed-race women in a conservative society to create new narratives of pleasure and eroticism.
