This master's thesis examines how wall artists sell artworks on Etsy, an online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods. The purpose of this master's thesis is to explore the strategies and techniques that wall artists use to market and promote their products on Etsy. Using qualitative methods through semi-structured interviews. Throughout this master's thesis, the author aims to provide an understanding of the many factors contributing to the success of wall artists on Etsy, including strategies practiced by artists to preserve authenticity, marketing strategies, and the role of customer engagement. By analysing data collected through qualitative semi-structured interviews, the thesis examines how wall artists utilize Etsy's features to promote their work, establish relationships with customers, and expand their businesses. The research provides insights into the challenges faced by wall artists on Etsy, including competition from other sellers. The effect of Etsy's policies and management practices on artist’s work. This master's thesis also highlights the importance of authenticity in the success of wall artists on Etsy, as many of them leveraged the platform's emphasis on handmade, one-of-a-kind products to differentiate themselves from their competitors. This thesis contributes to the broader academic discourse on digital platforms and artistic products t in the creative industries for artists and creatives, the findings of this study have implications for marketing and client relations strategies for scholars, it could provide further insights into how digital platforms shape artists production in contemporary creative industries.
