The strategy of the Government of Kenya and the Danish development policy emphasizes the strengthening of the role of women in the development process, making equal participation of women an integral part of development assistance in an effort to promote social, humanitarian and democratic ideals. This growing realization of the impact of gender in the development process has infonned the project documents of Government of Kenya, Danida funded projects in the fonn of broad policy statements.
