This research paper deals with the themes of gender and microfinance. It analyses the relationship among the different factors that contribute to the improvement the conditions of life of rural women and by extension of their families. It also studies the factors that affect the demand and supply of microcredit in agricultural contexts, and the form in which they relate with the successful experiences of what can be called the "Bolivian Microfinance Model", which renounces to the agricultural sector in order to contribute to development in Bolivia.
